Provides students from very low- income families with a backpack filled with nutritious, non-perishable food each weekend to combat hunger and help them come to school Monday ready to learn. The program is a partnership with the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina and its Bayer Crop Science Backpack Program.

WWC has two groups that pack food. The first, lead by Peggy F., generally meets the first Tuesday of the month during the school year, but that's subject to change and follows the school year.

The second group, lead by Colette D., generally meets the first Wednesday of the month during the school year, but also subject to change. Watch your emails for updates in both groups.

If you want to car pool, meet at the Professional Bldg around 9:30. If not, meet at the Food Bank of Durham at 10 AM. The process takes about an hour to an hour and a half. We are usually always back by noon. Click the link at the bottom to sign up now!
