The excitement of Mahjongg lies in the strategic decisions that you constantly make. We play the Chinese version: no jokers, no cards to purchase, just a combination of luck and strategy. Unfortunately, Chinese Mahjong cannot be played virtually, but since we still enjoy being with each other, thanks to Zoom, each group meets and visits virtually. When we can begin playing safely again, we will let you know. Interested new players can join and learn.
In the meantime - be safe, stay well, and keep creating new ways to enjoy life as it is.
To contact interest group leader, click on Contacts above and look for Mahjongg Mavens under Group Chairs.
As an FYI for when we can safely meet again - There are two morning groups: one on Wednesdays from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, rotating at player’s homes. The other meets on Fridays from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM at the home of Deane P. The third group - an evening group - meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM also at Deane’s home.
If you are interested in learning how to play, experienced players are willing to teach you! New players are always welcome. Warning: The game is addicting!
