Back by popular demand, Nicole Thompson, the CEO of Downtown Durham, Inc. will be our speaker!

She spoke to Woodcroft Women’s Club members last year and her presentation was so informative and enjoyable we are having her back to let us know – we see the construction – what exactly has happened in downtown Durham this past year and what are some coming attractions.

Ms. Thompson, who has a MA in city and regional planning from UNC, came to Durham from a community economic development position in Leadville, Colorado.  She has also worked in various positions in Virginia.

Our speakers at the November meeting were wonderful and gave us so much useful information concerning Hospice.  We also learned that Hospice needs comfort shawls, and our member, Merrily N, has provided us with the knitting instructions (see link below).  If you end up making a shawl (or several), you can bring them to a meeting or get them to Merrily, and she will see they are delivered to Hospice.

Please bring your donations to the January meeting for Families Moving Forward.

Our newest fundraiser is Spare Change for Change. Bring your coins.  Eva Mogensen will offer another mini fund-raising auction. Come early & bring cash or your checkbook.

Our theme this year is: WOODCROFT WOMEN'S CLUB ROCKS!

Do you know of someone in our club who needs a get-well wish, or someone who has a special occasion coming up?  Please contact Jeff C., our Sunshine person, so she can send a card on behalf of the club.
