The speaker for the October meeting is one of the co-founders of the local group, StrongHER TogetHER, a local nonprofit that teaches young girls to stick together no matter how different they are. Our speaker, Stacey Donoghue, is a longtime Durham resident and mother of two children.  The other founder is Dr. Veshana Ramiah, an Oncologist at Duke Medical Center who grew up during the Apartheid era in South Africa. They are both committed to the idea that female friendships and support are critical to girls as they navigate through their school and life journeys. Hope you can come and find out more about these women and their commitment to female empowerment!

Please bring your donations for Barrels of Joy for Families Moving Forward. Greatest needs are new twin bed comforters, bath towels, pillows, sponge mops, small trash cans.  Always need extra TP, paper towels, Clorox wipes, Windex, and other cleaning supplies

Our newest fundraiser is Spare Change for Change. Bring your coins.  Eva Mogensen will offer another mini fund-raising auction. Come early & bring cash or your checkbook.

Our theme this year is: WOODCROFT WOMEN'S CLUB ROCKS!

Do you know of someone in our club who needs a get-well wish, or someone who has a special occasion coming up?  Please contact Jeff C., our Sunshine person, so she can send a card on behalf of the club.
