Durham Crisis Response Center (DCRC)
Since 2006, the Woodcroft Women’s Club has been collecting donations for DCRC, a shelter which provides a safe place for women and children of domestic or sexual violence. The DCRC shelter houses over two hundred women and children every year, requiring many items to keep the household running. DCRC relies on gifts from the community to make stays at the shelter as comfortable as possible. This organization is one of three annually supported charities, and we collect donations through the year.
Bring donations to the general meetings, or contact the Group Chair to arrange for drop-off location or a pick-up.
Current urgent needs include: toilet paper, paper towels, plastic utensils, paper cups, all cleaning supplies, toiletries, sanitation/disinfectant sprays, and new socks & underwear for hospitalized women victims of sexual assault.
